Pencil Scratch Editing

Itching to make your manuscript ready to publish—
About Me
Nancy Wakefield is an editor. For the last twelve years, she has worked as a writer and trainer at LDS Distribution where she writes and edits catalogs, brochures, newsletters and training materials. She has edited and proofread for various BYU academic journals, including Mormon Immigration Index Entries, Journal of American Viola Society, Literature and Belief, and Reformation. She’s proofread General Conference issues for the Ensign and the Liahona for several years, and because of that jokes she can proofread in 23 different languages.

She has proofread manuscripts for James Faulkner, Anna Jones Buttimore, James Dashner, and Stephanie Fowers. Her favorite pastime is finding subtle inconsistencies in movie legal notices from different countries. Did you know that noncommercial has a hyphen in the FBI warning, whereas the Interpol warning in Europe keeps the hyphen in? Yes, it's one of those discrepancies only an editor would notice.
